FAQ
This page provides answers to commonly asked questions regarding the
use of compatible cartridges of laser printers, fax and
copiers. It also contains some general questions and answers. |
| |
3. The
print quality of a recycled cartridge is not as good as
a new cartridge from the manufacturer?
| The print quality you receive from
recycled laser cartridge will match the print quality of
a new cartridge from the manufacturer. Recycled laser
cartridge technology has reached such a competitive
level where even the same supplies (such as toners,
drums, and other parts) are also used by the
manufacturers. It does not make sense to pay more for a
new cartridge when you can get the same product, for
less money, by using recycled laser cartridges. |
4. Why recycle?
| It protects the environment... each cartridge which is remanufactured keeps two quarts of oil out of our landfills.
Remanufacturing means local employment. It saves 30 to
60% off the cost of new cartridges. |
5. What is a toner cartridge?
| Many major companies today manufacture laser printers, fax
and copy machines that use a disposable toner unit. When empty, most people
throw it away and buy new one. |

6. What does MICR stands for?
| MICR stands for Magnetic Ink Character Recognition. The MICR Imaging process uses a Common Machine Language composed of special characters. The most common use of MICR toners is electronic check and security
documents printing. MICR toners, along with special firmware, software and paper, allow owners of desktop laser printers to print their own checks on demand which can provide substantial savings. |

7. Will these inks damage my printer?
| No, the inks we supply are exactly the same as the ink supplied by the printer manufacturer. The drying time is the same, the chemical composition is the same,
as well as the surface tension, the specific gravity and density, the boiling point
and the drying time. We must match the properties or the ink will not perform properly in the cartridge. Each ink has to be matched to the cartridge. There is no way to tell
OEM-ink from ours. Your printer could be damaged by either ink. Do not store your printer in the attic or a warm storage shed. The ink in the heads will eventually dry out and clog the head. If you have an Epson printer, which has the print head built internally rather than in the cartridge, keep a fresh cartridge in it when you put it in storage. This will keep the head from drying out. Keep it out of the heat and don't let it freeze. Don't let ink build up in the cartridge compartment. If ink gets inside the printer it can short out the circuit board on the head. |
8. Should I let my refilled cartridge go empty?
| No!!! If your cartridge contains the print head and you let your printer run with an empty cartridge in it you run the risk of burning the resistors that control ink flow. They will get to hot and reduce life of the cartridge. If your cartridge is empty but you are not trying to run your printer, the cartridge will clog. HP cartridges can clog within 10 minutes of going empty. It is good practice to top off your cartridge when you think it is nearly empty. If you do a lot of printing, you will know when to
top off. Epson cartridges don't contain the print head, however, if you run past empty, the print head will suck in air. This causes major problems and is hard to remedy. Air can get in if you remove the cartridge before it is empty and then put it back in the printer. It resets the level indicator system to FULL but the cartridge is not full. |
9. How do I get the cartridge out to check for ink puddles?
| The printer will not let you remove a cartridge unless the empty light is on.
Here is what to do: Turn the printer on and when the cartridges are in a position so they can be removed, pull the power plug. They will stay in this position and can easily be removed. When the power is turned back on the cartridges will return to their proper position. |
10.
Clogged cartridges?
| Empty cartridges that are unwrapped and not installed in the printer will dry out and may become clogged. Never let a cartridge dry out completely, even if it is out of ink. If you don't have any ink, wrap it in a moist towel and seal in a zip lock bag for storage. If you have ink, refill it and seal it in a plastic bag or put it in the printer's spare slot, if it has one. |

| The prices indicated on our site were updated in
June 2003. We engage with always offering the best price-quality
ratio to you, but the fluctuations in the market can oblige us to change our prices without notice. For commands of significant volume, please contact us to obtain a tender. The prices indicated
for our recycled cartridges are subject to the return of empty cartouches. If you cannot provide us empty,
please add $5 for each ordered cartridge. If you have several empty

14. Which are your delivery times?
| Normally, we can carry out the delivery of your
order in 24 hours. However, certain circumstances out of our control can prevent us from keeping to this commitment. For the area of
Greater Montréal, the delivery is free. For the other destinations, shipping fees will be at

For orders over $150, we pay the delivery charges. |
15. Why should I
use recycled cartridges?
| Millions of empty cartridges are thrown away each year. Refilling helps reduce the amount of solid waste entering our landfills. However, the main reason for refilling is to save money, lots of it! |
17. Do you guarantee your product?
| We guarantee everything we sell at 100%. We will gladly refund your money if you are unsatisfied in anyway for any any reason. There is absolutely no risk to you. |
18. Does
using recycled cartridges void my warrantee?
| Major printer manufacturers sell printers at or below cost. They make their profits from selling the cartridges. Formerly, once you had bought your expensive new printer you had no choice but to buy one of their cartridges after yours ran dry. By using refills you are cutting into their primary source of profit. Because of this, they will threaten to void your warrantee if you refill your cartridge. They are simply trying to protect their own interests anyway they can. It is however strictly ILLEGAL for them to do so. They CANNOT VOID YOUR WARRANTEE simply for using refills. There is no reason that you should not refill your cartridge. It works and it saves YOU money. |
